On 29 April 2025, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou visited the Chapelle de la Madone in Menton to present a 100,000 EUR donation from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation to the Fondation du Patrimoine. The donation will go towards the restoration of this historic chapel.

The Chapelle de la Madone is an 18th-century religious building located in the hills above Menton. It is a well-loved local landmark, known for its peaceful setting and cultural significance. The renovation project will help preserve the chapel for future generations to use as a mixed-use space for both religious services and community events.

Sir Stelios was joined by the Mayor of Menton, Yves Juhel, and the French Ambassador to Monaco, H.E. Mr Jean d’Haussonville. Guests heard short speeches from Sir Stelios and Mayor Juhel, both highlighting the importance of protecting local heritage.

This contribution is part of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting cultural and historical preservation projects across Europe.
