WWF extends its gratitude to the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation for raising 600,000 euros to fund vital environmental projects in the Mediterranean.

WWF expressed gratitude to the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation for helping raise 600,000 euros to support protecting the seagrass meadows in the Mediterranean.

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou recently hosted the 12th annual fundraiser in support of WWF and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, dedicated to this conservation effort. The event took place in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, with speeches from both the Prince and Dr Adil Najam, President of WWF International.

In their newsletter, the WWF stated: “A big thank you to the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and the special guests who contributed to raising an incredible 600,000 Euros for the protection of Posidonia oceanica – supporting our efforts to secure a sustainable future for the Mediterranean’s people and wildlife.”
