The day began with an inspiring Intergenerational Dialogue between H.E. José Ramos-Horta, President of Timor-Leste, and youth from Monaco. In a candid and thoughtful exchange, the President responded to their questions about how peace can be achieved globally and what individuals can do to contribute. The conversation offered valuable insights into the power of dialogue, resilience, and civic responsibility. The assistance provided by the Columbus Hotel and IMSEE Monaco Statistics throughout the day was incredible and greatly contributed to the success of the event.
Shortly afterward, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, Patron of the FPCD, joined the event, lending his support to the Foundation’s ongoing mission of peace and development.
As a gesture of appreciation and cultural exchange, President Ramos-Horta offered a special traditional gift to Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou — Timor Coffee, a local product symbolizing Timor-Leste’s resilience and heritage.
Later in the day, President Ramos-Horta attended a private screening of a film produced by TV Monaco, which was followed by a lively Q&A session that sparked inspiring discussions.
The celebration ended with a Cocktail Dinatoire in his honor. During the evening, Claudia Abate presented the 2023 Prince Albert of Monaco Leadership Award to Les Gazelles de Monaco and proudly announced the establishment of FPCD Norway — marking a new chapter in the Foundation’s global mission.
